The World Geography Club for ages 6–9 introduces children to global geography through engaging virtual field trips and inquiry-based learning.
Delivered in 8-session thematic blocks, the club helps children explore countries and regions around the world while developing map skills, cultural awareness, and a growing understanding of how people live in different places. Sessions take place in a supportive, small-group online environment designed to encourage participation, curiosity, and discussion.
Each country is explored across two sessions. The first session is teacher-led and focuses on discovering the country’s location, famous places, natural features, and daily life through visuals, guided discussion, and virtual exploration. The second session builds on children’s own questions, allowing them to investigate topics of interest, share ideas, and complete simple project-based activities.
Children use digital learning materials during and after live sessions, enabling them to reflect, revisit content, and continue learning at their own pace. The focus is on understanding the world, asking meaningful questions, and building confidence in expressing ideas rather than memorizing facts.
The World Geography Club is suitable for both English language learners and confident English speakers who enjoy learning about different countries, cultures, and environments.

Lesson Structure
30-minute Live Online Session
Each World Geography Club session follows a clear and engaging structure designed to support curiosity, discussion, and active participation.
1. Welcome & Orientation
A short warm-up to reconnect, review previous learning, and introduce the country or focus of the session using maps and visuals.
2. Explore the Country
Children take part in a guided virtual field trip, exploring the country’s location, famous places, natural features, and daily life through images, maps, and short video clips.
3. Guided Discussion & Inquiry
Children are encouraged to share observations, ask questions, and compare what they see with their own experiences, developing geographical language and global awareness.
4. Reflect & Wrap-Up
The session ends with reflection, key ideas review, and preparation for follow-up inquiry or project work in the next session.
Home
Engagement
To support learning beyond the live sessions, children receive digital country booklets and guided activities linked to each country explored.
These materials allow children to revisit maps, landmarks, nature, and cultural features at their own pace, as well as record questions, reflections, and simple project work. Home engagement is optional and designed to be flexible, pressure-free, and age-appropriate.
Families are encouraged to explore the materials together, discuss different countries and cultures, and support children’s natural curiosity about the world in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
