1:1 Online Reading Session (ages 4-9)
Improve your child's reading skills with expert guidance.
Course Description
Our 1:1 Online Reading Session is a warm, highly personalized learning experience designed for young English learners who need targeted support in reading, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and overall language confidence. Each 30-minute lesson is delivered live online and tailored to your child’s individual level, learning pace, and learning goals. Whether your child is just beginning to recognize sounds or already reading simple texts, this session provides the structured, expert guidance they need to make meaningful and steady progress. We use **Raz-Plus ELL**, one of the world’s leading literacy platforms for early learners, as the core of our reading program. This award-winning system offers leveled readers, interactive activities, phonics lessons, digital practice, and comprehension tasks matched to your child’s ability. Raz-Plus ELL allows us to monitor growth closely, choose books at the perfect instructional level, and provide engaging reading experiences that build fluency, confidence, and motivation. Most importantly, it ensures that every lesson is intentional, research-based, and aligned with international literacy standards. During each session, your child will participate in a variety of structured reading activities, including phonemic awareness practice, guided reading with immediate feedback, vocabulary development, listening comprehension, fluency exercises, and story discussion. Our teaching approach uses positive reinforcement, clear routines, and developmentally appropriate strategies designed specifically for young ESL learners. Lessons are supportive, interactive, and paced to help children feel successful and excited about learning. Families receive **weekly home activities** that reinforce reading skills between sessions. These simple, playful tasks help strengthen vocabulary, build confidence, and promote natural language development in everyday routines. Parents also receive ongoing communication about their child’s progress, current reading level, and suggested next steps. This session is ideal for children ages 4–8 who are learning English as an additional language, beginning to read, needing extra support with phonics or comprehension, or benefiting from personalized attention outside of school. With the right tools, consistent guidance, and a caring teacher, your child will develop essential literacy skills that support lifelong learning and future academic success.
